To ensure a more convenient travel experience in Penghu and to promote sustainable tourism, low-carbon transportation and net-zero emissions, the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters under the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, has launched the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Penghu Airport Express Route." This new route connects key transportation nodes such as Penghu Airport, the Third Fishing Harbor, South Sea Visitor Center Tourist Fishing Harbor, Magong Harbor, the Magong Terminal Passenger Transit Center and existing Penghu Taiwan Tourist Shuttle stops through a fixed-time and fixed-route public transportation system. This seamless integration of land, sea and air transport ensures smooth and timely transit. The shuttle also stops at Penghu Visitor Center, Yentai Pescadores Resort, Four Points by Sheraton Penghu (International Plaza) and the Discovery Hotel, offering convenient access to popular attractions and hotels in Magong. This service not only resolves the transportation needs between the airport and hotels but also provides travelers with diverse route options, ultimately supporting energy conservation, high-quality service and connectivity across scenic areas.

The Tourism Administration stated that the Penghu Airport Express Route aims to enhance travel services between the airport (hereinafter referred to as the "Air") and the harbors ("Port"). By connecting major land, sea, and air transportation nodes, this new route promotes green tourism and energy-efficient travel. In the future, the express line will integrate with the four existing Taiwan Tourist Shuttle routes in Penghu to create an extensive travel network, further boosting Penghu's tourism industry by enhancing ecological tourism and green transportation, moving towards a sustainable international resort island.

 
The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Penghu Airport Express Route connects Penghu Airport, Magong Harbor, and key city stops, linking the island’s three major transportation systems: airport, port and urban land transport. The shuttle operates every 40 minutes from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, providing convenient transfers and multiple travel options for visitors exploring Penghu. In collaboration with local businesses, passengers presenting their shuttle tickets can enjoy various discounts, encouraging both domestic and international tourists to avail of the service. To increase the visibility of the new route, the Penghu Airport Express Route features newly designed buses adorned with elements showcasing Penghu’s unique charm, leaving a lasting visual impression. The route also offers real-time bus tracking and luggage handling services, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience for visitors.

 
Tickets for a single journey are priced at NT$30 and until August 31, 2025, passengers using e-tickets can enjoy a 50% discount. To encourage ridership, the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters is also offering an early bird gift promotion. From now until November 30, passengers taking the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Penghu Airport Express Route can request a ride certificate from the driver and redeem it for a luggage strap at the Penghu Airport Visitor Service Center or the Penghu Visitor Center. The promotion is limited to one redemption per day, with a total of 800 gifts available on a first-come, first-served basis.
