In order for visitors in Penghu to enjoy being close to the ocean, and experience the world’s most beautiful bay – Penghu, free rental service for 20 hand-operated electric-assisted tricycles will be provided as of today until December 31st, 2016, so that visitors who cannot move freely may also have fun and travel around Penghu easily.
 
With the aging society, creating universal travel-friendly environment is the new motivation attracting seniors and disabled people to go outdoors and be involved in leisure and tourist activities. However, with Penghu’s geological location and restricted to factors such as offshore island transportations, many hassles and inconveniences are caused for family and friends who require assistive device for sightseeing tours. Therefore, in order to construct friendly service environment, as well as continue to create safe and universal travel environment which allows mentally and physically disabled (or senior) travelers to enjoy being close to the ocean, and to experience the world’s most beautiful bay – Penghu. Penghu National Scenic Area Administration and Penghu County Government specially integrated the resources, with Penghu Assistive Devices Service Center under Penghu Care Service Association providing 20 hand-operated electric-assisted tricycles for rental by those in demands using application through online platform, so that they may also join the tour easily, experience and feel the refreshing nature, making this visit to Penghu an intellectual, leisurable and heart-moving one.
 
Penghu National Scenic Area Administration indicated, that reservation is required for the application for the hand-operated electric-support tricycles, with rental priority dedicated to targets including seniors or disabled people; the rental procedure should be applied 2 weeks in advance. After receiving the reservation, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration will forward the rental data to Penghu Assistive Devices Service Center for review and approval, and the review result will be replied through e-mail notification within 5 days.
 
As of today until December 31st, 2016, visitors or family and friends with demands are welcome to utilize this service in order to create a barrier-free and friendly travel environment in Penghu.
