New Measures at Penghu National Scenic Area in Response to the Prolonged Pandemic Alert Level III Countrywide until June 28

The control measures of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter, “Penghu Administration”) in response to the prolonged national pandemic alert Level III until June 28 are as follows:
  1. All indoor and outdoor facilities at the South Sea, North Sea, Citou, Jibei, Houliao, Yuwengdao, Siyu West Fort, and Qimeivisitor centers, the Siaomen Geology Gallery and the Wangan Green Turtle Tourism and Conservation Center will be closed to visitors.
  2. All the outsourced vendors will be closed for business.
  3. The parking lots at South Sea, Caiyuan, Shetoushan, Yimen, Lintou Park, Beiliao, Caiye, Longmen, North Sea, Chitou, Cross Sea Bridge, Yuwengdao, Erkan, Neian, Daguoye, Yuwengdao Lighthouse, Siyu West Fort, and Chixi will be shut down (as posted on the locations).
  4. The coastal trail at Kueibishan in Beiliao will be closed for early warning.
  5. Those who take part in waterfront activities must wear face masks at all times or they will be prohibited from engaging in waterfront activities.

Visitors are advised not to gather if it is not necessary, and to protect themselves and others. Penghu Administration will dispatch personnel to tourist spots to persuade visitors to leave and duly observe the rules prohibiting outdoor gatherings of more than 10 persons. Face masks are required in all tourist spots at all times. Those who pay no heed to the instructions of officials on-site will be be reported to relevant agencies for action.
The Central Epidemic Control Center has given guidelines for the attention of the public under Level III alert of the pandemic. The public is asked to comply with related epidemic prevention measures at tourist spots. Anyone not feeling well should call the free epidemic prevention hotline at 1922, wear a face mask, and seek medical attention at once, and inform the physician of their travel history, occupation, contact history, and whether or not they participated in social gatherings.
