Penghu features beautiful natural sceneries, abundant cultural historical sites, leisurable lifestyle and fresh delicious specialty seafood, together with diversified coasts including winding beach, reefs and shallow coral zones, a diversity of magnificent and rugged fissures of the wonders of basalt world, as well as the double-heart shaped stone weirs built with ancestors’ wisdom, which are all “Potential World Heritage Sites”. In 2014, it received the good grace to officially become one of the members to the “Most Beautiful Bays in the World”, pushing beautiful sceneries of Penghu to the international platform, and the 2018 annual meeting for the Most Beautiful Bays in the World is predetermined to be held in Penghu under active endeavors from Penghu County Government; with such a rare opportunity, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration expands the marketing of Penghu in advance in collaboration with this annual meeting, specially stirring up the atmosphere through the selection for the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, thereby allowing the magnificent natural sceneries of Penghu to attract international travelers in willing to visit Penghu through the circulation of the selection of videos.
 
Director Cheng-Kuang Fang of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration indicated that, in order for more international people to learn about the beautiful Penghu Bay and further expand international tourism, thereby promoting the development of local prosperity, the video selection event is specially organized, hoping to collect splendid and heart-moving work presentations through this event, making it the ideal medium for Taiwan to market Penghu and attract tourists to come and experience the charisma of Penghu.
 
This event will start receiving videos as of February 1st till October 31st, 2017; all tourists are welcome to visit Penghu and film the magnificence of Penghu, where they would have the opportunity to contest for prizes totaling to about NT$180 thousand.
