The highly anticipated 2024 Penghu Music Festival is set to kick off starting August 30! Get ready for a sensational event featuring a dazzling light show and a star-studded lineup of performers, making this the ultimate music extravaganza of the Penghu autumn. The festival will unfold with five grand themes: Wind Chasing Opening Night on August 30, Magic Sound Wave Night on September 6, Band Wave Night on September 13, High Tide Night on September 20, and Dazzling Closing Night on September 27. Get ready for five consecutive Friday nights of non-stop thrills! Last year's Penghu Music Festival drew nearly 100,000 tourists to Penghu. This year, continuing the momentum with the theme "Sing with the Breeze", we’re calling on all passionate music lovers to come to Penghu, sing your hearts out, soak in the stunning views, indulge in delicious local treats, and enjoy the most epic music party ever.

Today's press conference, hosted by Director-General Hung Chih-kuang of the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters, Tourism Administration, MOTC, was buzzing with excitement. Members of the media and special VIPs attended, including Deputy Executive Director Hui-Ling Chen of the Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan; Deputy Director Mei-Fan Liu of the Penghu County Government Tourism Department; Deputy General Manager Ming-Shu Chen of Taiwan Power Company; General Manager Cheng-Hao Chang of Mandarin Airlines; Deputy General Manager Yung-Yu Chen of UNI Air; and Vice Chair Eric Wu of the Travel Agent Association of Taiwan. At the press conference, the up-and-coming boy band U: NUS was invited to deliver the opening act, heating up the atmosphere and announcing the lineup of artists. The lineup includes Papun Band, OSN, Crowd Lu, Lala Hsu, Nine One One ft. Litzangboy, Yoga Lin, Bestards, Cosmos People, 831, U: NUS, W0LF(S), Accusefive, Ozone, WeiBird, and Nick Chou, totaling 16 groups of artists. In addition to the Friday night performances, the organizers have planned daily activities in the stage area from August 30 to September 27, including KTV parties and Wind Chasing Open Air Cinema. The weekly lineup and related activities aim to surpass last year’s success and boost Penghu’s autumn and winter tourism.

Director-General Hung Chih-kuang of the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters expressed gratitude to Legislator Yang Yao for his continuous suggestions and steadfast support in marketing Penghu's autumn tourism, extending the peak tourist season, and creating new event highlights. This year, the festival will continue to promote tourism development through the Penghu Music Festival. This year, to enhance the influx of tourists during the autumn and winter seasons in Penghu, the "9th Penghu Autumn Festival " series of tourism activities will be held, with the highlight event being the "2024 Penghu Music Festival." Additionally, there will be other associated events, including the "2024 Four Seasons Penghu Travel," the "2024 Penghu 101K Hopping Bike," and the "2024 Gaillardia Islands Penghu Cross-sea Marathon," attracting more visitors to Penghu during the late summer and autumn.

The "9th Penghu Autumn Festival" is also set to introduce two major value-added offers. The "Tourism Discount Passport," accessible through the official LINE account, connects local businesses and offers great deals on food, accommodation, activities, shopping, and transportation. This initiative aims to provide domestic and international tourists with exceptional value while encouraging spending at participating local businesses, boosting Penghu’s tourism industry, and setting new heights for the domestic travel industry.
