The 2023 Penghu Music Festival is being held with much fanfare at Penghu Guanyin Temple district every Saturday from 8/19 to 9/30. In addition to concerts featuring top celebrities, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (Penghu-NSA) of the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, is upping the ante by giving away one lottery ticket to every visitor at the Penghu Music Festival. Lottery tickets can be picked up from the information counter (limited to one per person per week) for a chance to win a shopping coupon from participating merchants. One NT$5,000, NT$3,000, and $2,000 shopping coupon will be drawn at each session. These shopping coupons can be redeemed at participating merchants or the music festival market.

The 8th Penghu Autumn Festival will run from July 14 to November 30. A “Tourism Discount Passport” has been compiled featuring a hundred reputable local merchants for food, accommodation, recreation, shopping and transportation. Everyone is now used to swiping through their smartphones now, so an electronic version of the passport containing all the special offers and great bargains has also been uploaded to the official Line@ account. Participating merchants include restaurants, eateries, gift shops, accommodations, car rentals, and packaged tours. Visitors will find an enthusiastic and friendly welcome once they arrive in Penghu.

One of the Festival offers is the limited edition folding picnic chair giveaway. The picnic chairs can be redeemed at selected visitor information centers by spending at least NT$2,000 at participating merchants. Each receipt with a value of NT$800 or more from participating merchants can also be registered for the prize draw. Prizes include hotel vouchers, and takeaway cocktail packs. All sorts of great offers are available on Penghu. All you need to do is come and have a wild time!
