In order to promote the marketing strategy of lengthening the tourism hot season by advocating the autumn tourism in Penghu, persuaded by Legislators Yang Yao, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications is holding the "Autumn Tourism in Penghu - A Cool Breeze" event series. From September 24th to November 6th, the event will be held in conjunction with Penghu's existing tourism events, including Running on Penghu Bay Beach, Penghu Long Run Marathon, and 2016 IRONMAN Taiwan. The event series will also be integrated with local industries to attract visitors for a wonderful autumn experience in Penghu.
Penghu is not only great for summer vacations; it offers different experiences in different seasons. In order to energize the autumn tourism market in Penghu, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held the Integrated Autumn Tourism & Travel & Marketing Conference yesterday (the 2nd) at the Penghu Youth Activity Center, inviting the Penghu County Government, Penghu Industrial Commercial Development & Investment Promotion Committee, Penghu Association of Travel Agents, Penghu Hotel Association, Penghu Ferry & Yacht Association, Penghu Joint Association of Bus for Tourists, airline companies, relevant industries, and civil groups with 50 representatives present. They pooled their intellect and resources to conjure up a preferential collaborative model collaborating with the transportation, accommodation, food, and souvenir industries to develop business opportunities for autumn tourism in Penghu.
The "Autumn Tourism in Penghu – A Cool Breeze" event series held by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications includes the main themed tours such as "September Cuisine Month" and "October Sports Month," which would be held in the front plaza before the Ziwei Temple in Suogang Town of Magong City. Large-scale light show equipment will be constructive to adopt natural elements of Penghu, including the moon, stars, sea, beaches, and projected onto the traditional temple in overlaps, to symbolize the co-existence of nature and civilization, guiding the tourists in experiencing the allure of the night in Penghu. The "Suogang Light Show Opening Performance" is estimated to start 7PM on September 24th. The Interactive Projection Area will also be opened at the same time. The performance period is from September 24th to November 6th, 2016.
Additionally, "Getting High in Penghu Bay – Island Beach Beer Festival", "2016 Running on Penghu Bay Beach", and other activities in the series event are expected to create new autumn Penghu tourism highlights and diversity, establishing the impression of the theme: "Fireworks in Summer, Light Shows in Autumn" in order to energize the autumn tourism market in Penghu, as well as enabling the public to get to know the new Penghu autumn tourism landscape.
