To embrace its beautiful bay view and advocate low-carbon tourism, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (Penghu NSA) and Penghu Cyclists' Association collaborated on launching Taiwan's first Guided Cycling Service on April 1st, promoting round-the-island tourism to all cyclists in Taiwan, to experience and enjoy the beautiful Penghu at 20km/h.

On the 2nd day, the first group that was received by the Penghu NSA Guided Tour Service was the hand-cyclists from the Life111 Association. Led by Director Chen Qifeng, a medical doctor and a promoter of accessible cycling tourism, around 20 members embarked on the 5-day journey on their handcycles. This journey would take them across the island to offshore islands including Qimei and Wangan. They would assess the degree of friendliness of accessible tourism in Penghu, in order to arrange for more disabled groups to enjoy the round-the-island trips in Penghu.

The local Penghu hospitality was also shown to this group of energetic cyclists personally by Director Liao of the Penghu NSA, as well as assigning his colleges to assist in this guided tour. 20 volunteer guides were also called to service to fully demonstrate the comprehensive cycling tourism environment in Penghu.
According to the plan made by the Penghu NSA, the team rode or hand-cycled on the golden coastal cycling route along Husi, visiting beaches including Lintou and Yimen, enjoying natural sceneries like the vast shell beaches, blue waters, horizons, as well as blooming blanket daisies. The beautiful views shocked the first-timers, and burned deep into their memories.

In order to expand the cycling travel groups, from April 1st - June 30th, the Penghu NSA welcomes all cycling groups of 5 or above to reserve the service online via their website http://www.penghu-nsa.gov.tw/index.aspx, or contact Mr. Zheng at the Recreational Department (+88669216521) for free professional cycling tour guides. Don't miss out on this great chance to enjoy a slow-paced and low-carbon travel.
