Join Guided Cycling Tours in Penghu and Experience the Beauty at 20km/h

With the aim of becoming the world's most beautiful bay, low-carbon sightseeing tours have been promoted in Penghu. Starting from April 1st 2015, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (PNSAA) and Penghu Bicycle Association will cooperate for the third year to provide the nation's first guided cycling tour services, hoping that with the introduction of environmentally friendly leisure activities and healthy à la mode cycling trips, tourists can experience and enjoy the beauty of Penghu at 20km/h.
During springtime, Penghu is most enchanting and romantic. For which, PNSAA specially mapped out a route named, "Magong – The Route of Romance and Culture," which starts from the Penghu Visitor Center, passing by the Penghu Fish Market, Zushi Temple, the Penghu Living Museum, Penghu Cultural Park, the Guanyin Pavilion Rest Area, the Military Villages Cultural Conservation Area, Shuncheng Gate, Penghu Queen of Heaven Temple (Tianhou Temple), Central Street, Fishermen's Wharf and the Penghu Seafood Specialty Sale Center. The route covers a total distance of 15 kilometers, and passes through a rich variety of superb scenery including cultural attractions and natural wonders. Combined with the previously planned routes, such as "Southern and Western Penghu – Exploring the Route of the Golden Coast" and "White Sand, Siyu – Exploring the Route of the Blue Ocean and Beacons," the dense network of cycle routes in Penhu is so well-integrated that cyclists can drink in the most impressive scenery in Penghu all at once.

Cyclists coming to Penghu for a cycling trip are entitled to free bicycle guides plus lots of great deals that the PNSAA offers, which include applying to redeem multi-functional sport waistband by the cyclists' showing their flight or ferry tickets, and receiving limited edition cycling souvenir t-shirts if you like our fan page and your articles, your impressions, or photos of cycling trips in Penghu posted on our fan page receive more than 50 likes, comments and shares.
The PNSAA says Penghu is ready and awaits your visits. The Administration is inviting travelers to explore Penghu by bikes from April 1st to June 31st this year. For groups of five people or more, please register in advance via the online registration system http://www.penghu-nsa.gov.tw/index.aspx or contact Mr. Zheng at the Penghu Visitor Center (Tel. 06-9216421).  Professional bicycle guides will take cyclists from all over Taiwan to Penghu’s villages, coastal areas and country landscapes, allowing them to experience everything at a leisurely, slow pace. In so doing, visitors will be better able to appreciate the true passion and vivacity of Penghu.
