To promote “2018 Year of Bay Toursim” and the outstanding bike tourism environment of Penghu, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration led a group of 30 people, which included bikers of Pacific Bicycles, the Rolls-Royce of bikes, the media and bloggers, to fully experience the beauty of Penghu by crossing islands and chasing the wind on bikes.
 
This event mainly targets the vast population of folding bike riders in northern and central Taiwan. Using folding bikes’ convenience in storing, moving, and taking airplanes and boats, the administration organized a cross-island itinerary for Yuweng Island, Hujing Island and Jibei Island, 3 islands that were listed in the 10 islands of the Year of Bay Tourism. Chairman Lin Cheng-I of Pacific Bicycles led a tour group of 30 people, which included the bike industry, bikers, Fair Media and CTS, to experience the soothing feeling of the awakening spring land of Penghu, sea wind blowing across your cheeks and skylarks chirping in the sky. Through this tour experience, along with the coverage and exposure by the media in this group, it expects to attract bikers of Taiwan to travel to Penghu along with their companions.
 
Director Fang Cheng-guang of Penghu National Scenic Area Administration stated that Penghu has the most relaxing and comfortable environment praised by bikers. It is different riding bikes in Penghu than in mainland Taiwan, because the roads are flatter, have fewer slopes, fewer cars, beautiful ocean sceneries along the way, and abundant versatilities. According to their features, 3 classic bicycle routs of “Recreational 15K” Magong Romantic Cultural Mysterious Route Exploration, “Athletic 55K” Magong & Huxi Golden Coast Mysterious Route Exploration, and “Challenging” Baisha & Siyu Yuwengdao Lighthouse 101K Exploration were arranged. With the service of free bike leaders, bikers can enjoy the pleasure of riding together at Penghu.
 
Besides providing free bike leader service, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration also released many great offers to bikers traveling in Penghu. They include: bikers can receive one Penghu Life Museum ticket in exchange with one plane/boat ticket, or they can have the opportunity to win limited souvenir biking outfits if they post their thoughts and pictures of their biking tour experience in Penghu onto the bicycle season corner of “Having Fun at Orchid Island: Penghu National Scenic Area” Facebook fan page.
 
Starting from today to June 30th, we welcome tour groups of more than 5 people who wish to travel in Penghu on bikes to make an online reservation through the website of Penghu National Scenic Area Administration.
