In order to continue the summer travel trend on Penghu Island as well as promote the diversified and characteristic leisure and sport tourism, we have specially organized the series of events including “2015 Penghu Beach Carnival” on Yimen Beach yesterday (September 12th), not only allowing close to 2 thousand people to have fun on Yimen Beach, but also offered everyone a memorable night, experiencing the romantic sentiment and charisma of the most beautiful bay in the world.

Other than the enthusiastic participation from the people on-site, legislator Yao Yang, director Mei-Ling Chen from Tourism Department of Penghu County Government, mayor Chu-Lin Yeh of Magong City Office, township head Jeng-Jie Wu of Huxi Township Hall, vice top legislator Shuang-Chiuan Chen, council members Chen-Chung Chen and Wan-Kuan Cheng, president Wen-Chi Weng of Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd., general manager Hsin-Chuan Huang of Lion Group, as well as vice general manager Yu-Kuang Chang of Mandarin Airlines also attended the grand event.

The highlight tourism grand event of “2015 Penghu Beach Carnival” organized by us had over a thousand people experiencing the Penghu Running event; awards were presented on-site to the following contestants: for the 12K Men’s Group, 1st prize goes to Richard Mutusyar from Kenya with a result of 00:48:35, 2nd prize goes to Sheng Po with a result of 00:50:34, and 3rd prize goes to Wen-Liang Huang with a result of 00:52:01; for Women’s Group, 1st prize goes to Wei-Wei Li with a result of 00:59:23, 2nd prize goes to Ya-Chun Yu with a result of 01:02:15, and 3rd prize goes to Ya-Hui Fang with a result of 01:05:28. For the 6K Men’s Group, 1st prize goes to Wei-Yang Lin with a result of 00:23:12, 2nd prize goes to Hsiang-Hao Yu with a result of 00:25:08, and 3rd prize goes to Chin-Tsung Li with a result of 00:27:01; for Women’s Group, 1st prize goes to Yi-Hsuan Wu with a result of 00:30:25, 2nd prize goes to Ting-Chen Li with a result of 00:36:43, and 3rd prize goes to Mei-Hui Chen with a result of 00:36:58. The rewards for the top three contestants in each of men’s and women’s group amounted to over NT$80,000, thereby showing appreciation to the people’s enthusiasm and support. Aviation companies such as Mandarin Airlines even formed a team to join the running, and further offered Mandarin Airlines’ Magong<->Taiwan plane ticket as a draw gift. Local proprietors also endeavored to promote Penghu’s tourism by launching promotional B&B discounts to attract tourists! The beach concert followed in the evening further received well responses, and the event invited the winner of Golden Melody Awards – Ricky Xiao, to take on a 45-minute grand finale performance, marking the perfect ending to the event of “2015 Penghu Beach Carnival”!
