2013 Penghu Beach Carnival Officially Kicks Off!
Leveraging the theme “Penghu- The World’s Most Beautiful Beach”, the “2013 Penghu Beach Carnival” will bring together some of the world’s most popular beach activities to the beach of Penghu. The entire campaign will last for 3 months and will kick off on 27th July. Each week will have a different activity theme. The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration wants to make Penghu even more exciting, passionate and attractive to visitors all around the world.
The carnival opening beach concert will take place on 17th August 2013, 5pm at Aimen Beach. It is a large-scale event and has invited some of the region’s most popular singers such as Bobby Chen - who is fondly known as the people’s music poet, and the New Formosa Band which will definitely kick up even more storm at Penghu Beach. Bobby Chen will be performing his famous love songs on the beach to soothe visitors’ hearts and ear buds. Together with the sea breeze, crashing waves and eye-catching fireworks, the objective is to create the most romantic moment for all.
Obviously, the opening ceremony is just one of the highlights of the 2013 Penghu Carnival. Throughout the entire 3 months, there are exciting activities every week and more than 20 different programs to give you a completely, 360-degree different, exhilarating beach experience. Activities include survival experience camp, beach volleyball and beach music parties at night. The organizers also arranged for outdoor cinemas so that the public can watch movies against the sea breeze while watching the movies sitting or lying down.
The organizers have also arranged a series of concerts- including rock & roll concerts with 100% unplugged music and other popular music genres to be played under the moon-lit sky. The effect will be outstanding. There will also be a unique and diversified dance platform opened to music enthusiasts. The network platform is also crucial in encouraging more music enthusiasts to participate.
