The 2026 Penghu Music Festival kicked off tonight (September 12) at the Guanyinting Recreation Area in Penghu, with Korean superstar Kyuhyun, Crowd Lu, and TRASH leading an exciting lineup of performances. Their powerful vocals and stunning stage production drew large crowds that were eager to join in the festivities. The opening ceremony brought together many distinguished guests, including Yen Tzu-chieh, Deputy Executive Director of the Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan; Ma Chin-tsu, Counselor of the Penghu County Government; Tsai Chi-hsien, Director of the Penghu County Environmental Protection Bureau; Liu Mei-fan, Deputy Director of the Penghu County Tourism Department; Chuang Kuo-hui, Deputy Chairman of the Magong City Representative Council; Chou Yu-ming, Chairman of the Penghu Tourism Association; Chen Jen-he, Chairman of the Penghu Tourism Development Association; Yang Chih-chao, Deputy General Manager of Profond Duty Free Shop; Tang Hsiao-ching, representative of Uni Air; Kuo Chen-ling, Director of the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters, Tourism Administration, MOTC (hereinafter referred to as the Penghu Headquarters); and visitors attending the event. Together, they officially launched the festival and experienced the energy and charm of a Penghu island night.

The 2026 Penghu Music Festival runs from September 12 to October 11, with five star-studded concerts taking place from September 12 to October 3. In addition to four consecutive Saturday concerts at Guanyinting in Penghu, an additional performance was held on Sunday, September 13. A total of 16 popular and acclaimed acts took the stage in succession, including Korean star Kyuhyun, Crowd Lu, Nick Chou, Nine One One, Bestards, TRASH, Cosmos People, OSN, Amber An, and other major acts, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles that will make the festival one of the most anticipated island music events of the fall. Beyond the exciting concerts, after parties are scheduled for September 19 and September 26. CG KTV will take over the stage and keep the music and party atmosphere going for music enthusiasts. Visitors can sing along and enjoy a night out in Penghu together while experiencing the island’s uninhibited energy and charm.

In addition, this year’s light art exhibition will run from September 12 to October 11. Centered on the theme “Island Legends,” the exhibition will incorporate interactive lighting technology, artistic lighting installations, and elements of Penghu’s local culture to create a captivating nighttime environment on the island filled with stories. The Guanyinting Recreation Area will be transformed into a nighttime stage of light and shadow. Through light art, Penghu’s legends and memories will be showcased, inviting travelers to wander through the installations and experience the romantic charm of a Penghu autumn night with the sea breeze by their side.

The Penghu Headquarters further noted that, to enhance the visitor experience, this year’s festival is introducing a limited-edition gift that is exclusive to Penghu for each performance this year. During the festival’s stage performances, visitors who complete designated tasks at the Guanyinting service counter will have a chance to receive a limited-edition commemorative gift. Also, a limited-edition photo booth lets visitors take photos alongside the artists performing at each concert, allowing fans to create one-of-a-kind memories. In conjunction with the 2026 Penghu Music Festival—Autumn Madness Season, the Penghu Headquarters is also integrating Penghu’s fall tourism resources and working with more than 200 participating businesses across a wide range of sectors— including food and dining, specialty products, tourism, and accommodations—to provide special offers. Promotions include spending rebates, raffles for collecting points after reaching designated spending amounts, on-site interactive prize drawings, and stamp-collection activities at tourist destinations. Together, these activities connect every part of the travel experience—from food and accommodations to sightseeing, shopping, and transportation—and encourage visitors to engage in the in-depth exploration of Penghu.

In addition to the headline concerts every Friday night, weekday activities will be held every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from September 12 to October 3 at the main stage, featuring events such as Family Magic Nights and Penghu Music Festival Movie Theater. These activities aim to amplify the festival’s energy and fun, extend visitor participation throughout the day, and create an all-new immersive entertainment experience.
