The arrival of fall and winter marks a more comfortable time to travel in Penghu. Free from the bustle of summer crowds, Penghu slows to a leisurely pace, making this the perfect time to experience the joy of slow travel. The Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters under the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as the Penghu Headquarters) has launched an Independent Travel–Friendly Guide that is centered on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle—Penghu Airport Express as a connector among major tourism corridors. Through convenient transportation, clear routes, and a low-stress design, the guide invites travelers to discover the unique charm of Penghu during fall and winter.

Low-carbon, seamless transfers building a traveler-friendly and sustainable transportation network
To make independent travel more worry-free, this guide focuses on a transportation model that emphasizes “no driving, no getting lost,” allowing travelers the freedom to set their own pace:
  • Taiwan Tourist Shuttle—Penghu Airport Express: Board directly upon arrival at the airport or Magong Harbor. Operating from 7:20 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with departures every 40 minutes. The shuttle service provides quick access to downtown areas and popular attractions along its route.

Ride the Airport Express and Explore Penghu in One Day
Looking to indulge in seafood in the downtown area and stroll among historic sites? Or would you rather explore Penghu’s major indoor exhibition halls and cultural attractions? Let the Penghu Airport Express be the starting point of your one-day Penghu journey. You can experience the best of Penghu with the most convenient transportation option.
  • Penghu Visitor Center Station: In addition to its rich and distinctive exhibits, the center features a leisure park where visitors can walk along paths shaded by trees and experience Penghu’s natural charm. You can also visit the nearby Residence of Scholar Tsai Ting-lan to take in its refined scholarly atmosphere.
