Beiliao to Chihyu Land-tied Island (Crossing the Red Sea) Region (hereafter referred to as this region) has become a popular tourist attraction during the recent years for visitors travelling to Penghu, but due to the characteristic of the sea-parting time every day, packs of crowds are easily attracted to rush in within an instant. In order to maintain the marine ecological environment as well as visitor’s travel safety, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has invited local governmental departments and local community groups to hold discussion meeting on March 15th, 2017 with regards to the management measures of this region; in the meeting, it was confirmed that the opening hours will be set to start from 8:00am to 5:30pm everyday (from 6:00am in early morning to 6:30pm at dusk on specific days in collaboration with peak season from April till September), the range of opening is 7.5 meters on both sides of the center line of the walk, as well as measures such as forbidding to land on the island of Chihyu, which will be executed as of April this year (2017) along with the announcement procedure operation.
The closed times for Beiliao to Chihyu Land-tied Island (Crossing the Red Sea) Region from April to June of 2017 are from before 6:00am and after 18:30pm on specific days.

Closed times for specific days during April to June of 2017 are as follows:

• April, 2017: 1st, 2nd, 15th, 16th, 17th, 29th, 30th.
• May, 2017: 1st, 14th, 15th, 16th, 28th, 29th, 30th.
• June, 2017: 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th. 

Penghu National Scenic Area Administration reminds visitors and various relevant business proprietors to collaborate in obeying to the relevant management measures and regulations when experiencing the sea-parting activity, so as to jointly maintain this region’s environmental ecology and touring quality.
