In order to create a user-friendly travel environment and improve service quality, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has launched the i-Center Mobile Tourist Info.; bicycles and free shuttle buses will be used to accommodate the 2020 “Wellbeing Island[LC1] ” flower viewing activity in Penghu Recreation Area. Visitors and the elderly will not have to walk to the area. They will be able to easily access the Penghu Recreation Area for flower viewing by taking the shuttle buses. Visitors on bicycles will be able to take a relaxing ride to enjoy the eco-friendly view.

Director Tsung-Min Hsu of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration said that in order to extend the peak tourism season by promoting the off season in Penghu, low-carbon tourism and recreational activities are being introduced. Penghu Recreation Area, a place with complete facilities, abundant trees and plenty of shade and wind protection was selected as the one of the spots along the route of the “i-Center Mobile Tourist Info. Promotional Project”. From now, the Administration will provide free rental service of 1 shuttle bus and 10 bicycles. Visitors just need to fill out a simple application form at the visitor center to complete the rental procedures before enjoying their ride while appreciating the rich ecology, leisure, education and low-carbon spots for flower viewing.

Free rental time: Bicycles are available before 4 pm every day. The 4-seater shuttle bus is available at two different shifts, from 9 am and then 3 pm every day. The volunteer stationed at the visitor center will drive the shuttle bus. Those with disabilities or senior citizens can ride the shuttle and enjoy the attentive tour guide service to have a limited 5-Star spring tour in Penghu.
