In order to encourage tourists to experience the lively celebrations of traditional Lantern Festivals in the Penghu Islands and appreciate the meaning behind the Qigui Event, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration will be organizing a Green See Turtle Fortune Baby Figurine Giveaways for the Penghu Islands Lantern Festival event from March 1st~9th, 2015. Every visitor arriving at the Penghu Islands for the duration of this event stands a chance to win a Green See Turtle Fortune Baby Figurine for a most lucky and auspicious Year of the Ram and a perfect souvenir for a wonderful winter holiday spent in the Penghu Islands.
 
This event is open for all non-Penghu residents arriving at Penghu for the event duration listed above. Qualifying visitors may go to the Tourist Service Center in the arrival center of Penghu Airport or the Penghu Visitor Center to participate in the lucky draw. Prizes include the 2015 version of Green See Turtle Fortune Baby Figurine and traditional glutinous rice turtles. Event organizers have prepared 1500 figurines and 100 glutinous rice turtles for this activity, and everyone stands a chance to win while prizes last.
 
In addition to enlivening the Lantern Festival in Penghu and promoting awareness for the Qigui cultural event amongst tourists, this event hopes to promote winter holidays and tours offered by the Penghu Islands. We hereby request tourism agencies to promote this festival to give visitors a chance to win a pleasant surprise that adds to their experience of a fun trip at the Penghu Islands and spice up their winter vacation at Penghu.
