To promote Penghu’s tourism industry more effectively, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration (PNSAA) announced that it will revamp its website to offer more diversified information channels to the public in 2013. The upgraded website will also feature innovative applications and topics so that the public can gather more information about upcoming activities and share their experiences on popular community platforms. The objective of this project is to guide the public to better appreciate the different beautiful aspects of Penghu.
Since May this year, PNSAA has consistently rolled out new functions and services online. Currently, visitors can see “Activity Calendar” and “HI Penghu Fun” on the website. Under the “Activity Calendar”, visitors can view future, current and past activities in Penghu. When they find something interesting, they can simply click “Add into Calendar”, download the “iCal” file and include into their Outlook or Google calendars. After set-up, they can receive latest information via their Outlook or Google calendars. “HI Penghu Fun” is the latest blog feature created by PNSAA for the public to share their visit experiences in Penghu and also read other people’s entries. PNSAA will also invite renowned travel gurus to share their travel experiences on this platform so that people living far away outside of Penghu will be able to read about their travels!
Another upcoming feature is the “Star Chaser Map” which will be launched in June 2013. The feature is designed to showcase Penghu’s beautiful scenery through filmography. The public will be able to discover the many beautiful types of scenery in Penghu which were captured in TV idol dramas, movies, advertisements, music videos (MV), etc. Other than revamping the website, the PNSAA Facebook Page will also organize different-themed activities monthly so that the public can appreciate, experience and “feel” Penghu. It will also offer prizes to encourage the public to participate actively and share their experiences generously.
