To provide convenient and timely tourism information and travel guidance for domestic and international visitors, while creating a more friendly, thoughtful, and interactive travel experience, the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters (Penghu NSA Headquarters) is implementing the Tourism Administration’s 2026 i-Center Mobile Visitor Information Service Promotion Project. From April through September, mobile visitor services will be available every Saturday and Sunday afternoon along the Penghu Forest Recreation Area Route, offering travel consultation and promotional brochures. In addition, during the peak travel season and major events, service stations will also be set up along the Magong Commercial District Hotspot Route during the 2026 Penghu International Fireworks Festival and the 2026 Penghu Music Festival. These stations will help visitors access event information, venue directions, and travel recommendations. Travelers will not only receive the latest updates, but also experience Penghu’s warm hospitality and vibrant local culture firsthand.
Director-General Kuo Chen-ling of the Penghu NSA Headquarters stated that the purpose of the mobile visitor information service is to extend the assistance normally available at visitor centers to locations where travelers gather most frequently. The program offers five key SMART services: sharing popular local hotspots, providing maps and promotional materials, assisting with photos, recommending itineraries, and offering travel consultation. Mobile service staff consist of interpreters and volunteers wearing bright yellow “i” vests, equipped with practical items such as Penghu travel materials and basic first-aid supplies. They provide timely and friendly assistance at popular locations including Tianren Lake, Gaillardia Garden, Coni Marine Biotech Center, Zhongzheng Road, and the Zhongzheng Road Post Office area.
Visitors to Penghu are warmly encouraged to approach the mobile visitor information service staff whenever they have travel-related questions. Those wishing to capture special memories may also ask staff to help take photos and preserve moments from their unforgettable Penghu journey. The service is designed to make every trip to Penghu richer, warmer, and more memorable.
