When the sea breeze rolls in and waves crash onto the shore, Taiwan's most anticipated beach music festival of the summer is ready to take center stage. Organized by the Penghu National Scenic Area Headquarters under the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (Penghu NSA Headquarters), the all-new 2026 Pescadores Fest will make its debut from August 21 to 23 at Aimen Beach in Penghu. At today's (July 4) press conference, organizers officially unveiled the festival's complete lineup of Taiwanese and international artists, inviting music lovers to join a midsummer celebration where live music meets the seasonal charm of the Penghu Islands.
To give fans an early taste of the festival atmosphere, the Penghu NSA Headquarters brought the music to Taipei's Ximending Red House Plaza, where participating bands Thick Big Band and P!SCO delivered exclusive preview performances. The showcase offered audiences a first taste of Penghu's vibrant island music scene, drawing enthusiastic crowds of young concertgoers, many of whom exclaimed, "That was incredible!" and "We're definitely heading to Penghu this August!" The event served as an exciting prelude to the island's biggest music celebration of the summer.
Huang Yi-cheng, Secretary-General of the Tourism Administration, said Penghu has long been one of Taiwan's premier summer island destinations. Sunshine, sandy beaches, picturesque bays, and fresh seafood are all part of its unmistakable appeal. Through the all-new 2026 Pescadores Fest, the Penghu NSA Headquarters hopes to showcase the spectacular scenery of Aimen-Lintou Beach, one of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, while using music to introduce more young travelers, music lovers, and visitors to the unique charm of Penghu. Penghu County Deputy Magistrate Lin Chieh-hsing added that Aimen-Lintou Beach, with its kilometers of golden sand, is the perfect place to enjoy live music, breathtaking coastal scenery, and local cuisine. He also encouraged festivalgoers to extend their stay after Pescadores Fest concludes on August 23, noting that the finale of the Penghu International Fireworks Festival will take place on August 25. A full lineup of events will follow throughout the second half of the year, including the Penghu Music Festival, the Penghu Island-Hopping 101K Cycling Event, the Gaillardia Islands Penghu Cross-Sea Marathon, and the Penghu Long March, giving visitors plenty of reasons to enjoy Penghu from summer through November.
Over three days, 2026 Pescadores Fest will feature 30 popular artists and bands from Taiwan and abroad. Headliners include Golden Melody Award-winning band Accusefive, retro-pop favorites icyball, indie band Sweet John, cyber-Taiwanese rock group Amazing Show, and rock band KST/Constant&Change. Adding even more excitement to the lineup are two international highlights. IKE, the original vocalist behind theme songs for hit Japanese anime including Bleach and Haikyu!!, will perform in Penghu for the first time, while rising Thai singer-songwriter YourMOOD will cross the seas to captivate audiences with his signature retro-inspired sound. The festival will also bring together some of Taiwan's most popular contemporary bands, including Fool and Idiot, Easy Weeds, GGteens, and Iruka Porisu, transforming Aimen Beach into this summer's most laid-back and internationally inspired island music festival.
Featuring two stages with nonstop performances, Pescadores Fest will keep the music going from afternoon well into the evening, giving festivalgoers the freedom to move between stages and enjoy one unforgettable performance after another against the backdrop of Penghu's stunning coastline.
