In order to extend the tourist boom of Penghu during the summer, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration prolonged its tourism marketing strategy and launched the first ever series themed events of “Penghu Autumn Sport Madness” this year. A series of sport themed tourist events will be successively launched between Sep. 24th and Nov. 16th. By connecting them with the tourism resources of Penghu and integrating them with local tourist industry, we expect to attract more tourists to visit Penghu while taking part in other recreation and sport events, enabling them to experience the beauty of Penghu’s autumn and winter.
 
“Penghu Autumn Sport Madness” will combine local elements such as community customs, island features, special geological landscapes and gourmets with recreation and sports. Events such as “Yuwengdao Lighthouse 101K Bicycle Race on Sep. 24th”, “Penghu Cross-sea Marathon  on Oct. 8th”, “National Beach Woodball Tournament on Oct. 11th”, “2017 Warm Winter Penghu & Swim Healthily Event on Oct. 29th”, and the “First Tourism Cup Table Tennis Games on Nov. 14th” are scheduled to be held. Combining themed sport events with the Penghu Feature Seafood Festival and community experiencing tours hopes to attract tourists and promote the tourism market of Penghu in autumn and winter.
