Following the unprecedented professional cycling guide service for national bicycle tours in 2013 which was well-received, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has once again jointly launched the free rental tourism guidance bicycle service with National Penghu University of Science and Technology, hoping the visitors may have an in-depth experience of the Magong Ecological Park on the peripheral of the visitor’s center through a slow cycling and strolling approach, and experience different winter recreational activities while creating new topics for traveling.
The 10 tourism guidance bicycles provided this time are 21-speed all-terrain bicycles made in Taiwan, which all are newly purchased this year with excellent conditions. The rental rules include healthy visitors and people with an age of over 12 years old, while the daily rental period starts from 8am to 4pm, with a 4-hour period as the deadline for return. One may fill in the simple application form at the information counter in the visitor’s center (no reservation is available) to cycle on easily. Furthermore, besides bicycle rental service at the center, there are also free inflating facility as well as maintenance tools and simple first aid box provided to the cyclers. Moreover, the public may replenish drinking water for free at the visitor’s center with their own containers, which is environmental friendly and healthy.
The cycling experience route is based in the range of prosperous wooded Gaillardia Garden and Twin-Lakes Park, where you are welcome to experience a journey with winter sentiments in Penghu through admiring the various cultivated flowers and gigantic cactuses within the park, while also strolling on the wooded trail to leisurely enjoy the Phytoncide amongst the woods. Please contact the tour guide, Ms. Hsin via 06-9216445 at the Penghu Visitor Center for relevant information on the rental of tourism guidance bicycles.
