Visitor Centers of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration are open during the Chinese New Ye

To serve visitors to Penghu during the Chinese New Year period, the visitor centers and exhibition halls of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration will be open during the holidays, in the spirit of “Usher in the New Year, welcome all guests”. To prepare for the Chinese New Year holidays of 2016, all visitor centers and exhibition halls of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration began the annual spring cleaning to “get rid of the old and make way for the new”, this time in collaboration with the “Clean Up Taiwan” campaign, except the Penghu Visitor Center, the Xiaomen Geology Museum, and the Siyu West Fort Visitor Center, which will be closed for a day on Chinese New Year’s Eve (February 7th). Also, since ferry connections will be unavailable on Chinese New Year’s Day (February 8th), the South Sea, North Sea, Houliao, Jibei, Qitou, and Qimei Visitor Centers will be closed for a day; services will be available during other times.
 
Penghu National Scenic Area Administration indicated that besides people obtaining the various Penghu tourism travel info from Penghu Airport Visitor Information Center and the various visitor centers subordinate to it during the Chinese New Year period, there will further be exhibition halls as well as audio-visual halls set up at Penghu Visitor Center, Xiaomen Geology Museum and Wang-an Green Turtle Tourism Conservation Center, with professional tour-guide personnel services, people are welcome to make good use of them. The serving hours and telephone numbers for the various visitor centers during the Chinese New Year are as follows:

In consideration of the home-returning and visiting crowds during the Chinese New Year period, traffic jams may occur at the various recreational scenic areas; in order to maintain travel safety and to avoid accidents from happening, Penghu National Scenic Area Administration appeals to the public as well as the related sea & land transportation proprietors to obey the following: no violations, no overloading, no overtaking and no drinking & driving, beware of driving (steering) safety, and wishes everyone a happy as well as a satisfactory New Year.
