Marketing Penghu Gourmet Cuisines in London

The 2017 Marine Gourmet Festival in Penghu, organized by Penghu National Scenic Area Administration, will take place from Sept. 22nd. Some Taiwanese tourists discovered its promotion and advertisements at an exhibition at London, making them feel extremely surprised and warm. Recently, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has been aggressively promoting the series sport tourism and traveling event of “Penghu Autumn Festival”. This event was not only exposed in oversea exhibitions, but many promotion banners and posters were also attached to light poles along the county highway, as if Penghu is embracing another tourist season.
 
Director Fang Cheng-kuang of Penghu National Scenic Area Administration stated that he wants to host a special Marine Gourmet Festival this year. Combining local community vendors, associations, and other different forces together, the agricultural and fishery products of Penghu were developed into gourmet cuisine by well-known chefs before being promoted domestically and abroad. Distinguished Professor Liao Ching-chih of Hungkuang University Department of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, Deputy General Manager Chen Chin-wan of Kaohsiung Grand Hi Lai Hotel, Administrative Chef Liu Tzu-min of Chiayi Atunas Holiday Country, Manager Cheng Po-wen of Hotel Tainan and others will be invited to perform in the chef performance, and we welcome the culinary industry of Penghu to conduct exchanges with them to strengthen Penghu’s local seafood gourmet culture.
 
One of the purposes for holding this year’s “Marine Gourmet Festival in Penghu” is to promote the fresh seafood of Penghu overseas. The first stop was the 2017 Chinese Food Exhibition held in London, UK from Sept. 8th to 10th, which is still taking place. The second stop will be the 2017 ANUGA held in Cologne, Germany from Oct. 7th to 11th, in which related publicity materials will be given out to promote the cuisine and sceneries of Penghu.
 
HanDian Education Foundation, the promoter of this event, will combine Penghu gourmet food with frozen processing technologies for the first time. Through the cooperative R&D model of the industry, officials and schools and collaborating with the frozen processed food factory at London, which is the mother company of the aforementioned foundation, the gourmet food of Penghu will be marketed worldwide. General Manager Chung Chi-ming of a food maker, who is now at the London factory, stated that promoting Penghu gourmet worldwide is the pride of being a Taiwanese. He has the compelling obligation to promote the gourmet cuisine and beautiful sceneries of Penghu at various food exhibitions around the world.
