Shanshuei Beach*
Flash Banner

Shanshuei used to be called "sow in water". One of the origins is: There was once a sow on the beach and got dragged into sea by a giant octopus, so the place was called "sow in water". During the Japanese colony, it was renamed "sow water", and then “Shanshuei” after the Restoration. From Guanyingshan near the Shanshuei fishing port east of Shanshuei south-bank to Jhumushueishan on the west side, the entire area is called Jhumushueian. With the white beach along the bank and the clear ocean, this is just the place if you like to dabble with water.
