Windsurfing and canoeing are among the favorite activities of young visitors to Penghu on hot summer days. To promote ocean tourism in Penghu, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration Office offers a series of windsurfing and canoeing activities every weekday around Guanyin Pavilion during the summer vacation of 2012.

The activities are organized with joint effort from the National Penghu University of Science and Technology. Selected students with lifeguard qualifications from the university will be teaching windsurfing and canoeing skills. They will also give a thorough introduction of needed equipment and facilities, safety rules, and observations on winds and tidal waves. Participants can try operating the sails while practicing their skills on the sea, which is entertaining and challenging at the same time.

Interested members of the public, especially youngsters, are encouraged to register for the serial event and enjoy time off under the blue sky and on the cooling sea.
