Penghu Fun is the first time interpreted educational ecotours combining Penghu’s geology, birds, stone fish traps, environmental protection and culture have been offered and will take visitors to many previously unknown spots, giving you a new understanding of Penghu.

Penghu Fun has three themes: stone fish trap ecology, tern ecology and geology; as well as the six two-day, one night fish trap ecology, tern ecology and geology-themed ecotours (18 in total) that have been commissioned by the Administration; also, giving visitors free use of a “TES e-scooter” will help make a contribution to the global low carbon movement by reducing the carbon footprint of their Penghu ecotour.

The stone fish trap ecotour centers on Jibei Island and will show visitors island’s stone fish traps, more than anywhere else in the world, and give them a chance to have fun catching crabs and fish and view coral in the tidal zone,
The tern ecotour will take visitors to the place with biggest concentration of seabirds in Asia, Cat Islets, where large numbers of bridled terns, great crested terns and other terns that cross the South China Sea can be seen.
Also not to be missed is a tour of Penghu’s unique geological landscape! The east sea geological tour will take visitors to view the strange geological sights of Bird Island, and give them a chance to discover the creatures of the tidal zone and admire the towering basalt cliffs from close up.
