A press conference aiming to give a final call for the 2010 Penghu Ocean Fireworks Festival was held on the afternoon of April 15, at the Pescadores Hotel.
Singer Wu Jia-hui, who serves as the endorser of this year’s event, sang a folk song “Grandma’s Penghu Bay” at the conference. “I look forward to seeing relaxed vacationers enjoy the beautiful fireworks and Nature’s rhythms of Penghu during the festival.”
The 2010 Penghu Ocean Fireworks Festival will start April 24 and run until May 29, staging fireworks shows every Wednesday and Saturday. During the festival period, participants may also get a special “wish-making card” at the Guanyin Pavilion, where the fireworks are displayed. A closing ceremony will be held on May 31 (Monday).
Now that there are only eight days left from the inauguration, the organizer called for interested members of the public to make plans for their vacation and grasp the chance to join the largest fireworks event in Taiwan.
