| Silver-mouthed monodont is also known as "Green Grass Shell" and "Dent Shell", with black shells with spiral-coiling engravings. The shell is about 4 cm in height, and the bottom centre green. These silver-mouthed monodonts are found along rocky coasts. Local seafood restaurants offer "silver-mouthed monodont salad", including cucumber slices, finely shredded ginger, and a special salad dressing. Prepared in this way, the flesh of silver-mouthed monodonts would have a resilient, chewy texture, making the salad a great appetizer. Jibei silver-mouthed monodonts can also be stir-fried with cinnamon basil, producing a sweet, juicy dish that leaves people savoring for days on end. |
