In order to enjoy a wonderful holiday, please plan your journeys ahead of time to avoid the tourist rush during peak season. Every April to October is the peak season for Penghu tourism, during which time, plane tickets, accommodation and boats to offshore islets will be are to come by; so, it is best that these be arranged two weeks in advance. All major travel agencies in Taiwan provide booking services, but you can also do it yourself.

Due to the increased intensity of Northeast monsoons, the tourist rush slows down in October, making it a great time to take in-depth tours around Penghu. It is also a good opportunity to take advantage of the various package deals offered by airline companies, travel agencies and hotels.
