 | Displays of corals and green sea turtles are eye-catching (2011-06-24 08:36) |
“Sea Tree (Coral) Display Room” and a 3D film entitled “Green Sea Turtles Travel the Seas” will be inaugurated June 27, 2011 at the Jibei Visitor Center of the Penghu National Scenic Area.
The Sea Tree (Coral) Display Room shows the living environment, the lives, and the use of corals in Penghu. While most of the displays are static, the room is a lively and informative one.
“Without help from Chen Yung-Chien, a senior resident from Jibei Township, the display room would not be possible in just six months,” said the Administration Chief. “Chen has not only donated more than a hundred corals that he collected. He has personally participated in the writing of interpretive signs and the planning of displays.”
The film, which is produced by Formo Soft, shows the lives of endangered green sea turtles from being born, fighting against natural enemies, to finally arriving at the sea in the Wangan Green Sea Turtle Conservation Center.
